I woke up today with a combination of excitement and trepidation. First day of Christopher Warden’s “Women’s Fitness Beyond 40” body transformation program. I started eating healthier a few years ago, and the beneficial effects are undeniable. But I want to do better. I want to rid myself of the sugar cravings. I want my weight and my moods to stabilize. I want to stop thinking about calories. But taking away sugar eliminates the “treats” and I know that will be really hard initially. It will force me to stop using food as an emotional crutch. And there will be no bars I can grab when I realize I have nothing to take for lunch or I haven’t left time to pack a snack. It will take a lot of preparation and a lot of planning, especially at first. But I am ready. Here we go. I am 40 years old, weight 116 and hold more fat than I would like through the stomach and thighs. I am excited to learn that I can exist solely on fresh, whole food and I am curious to see what changes that yields in my body, my mood, my energy and my overall well-being. Christopher is very knowledgeable and he makes a lot of big promises…lets see if he is right!
